Our chefs serve up some fabulous food. Hearty pub classics, an exciting range of specials, plus pizza and lighter dishes; all food cooked fresh using locally sourced ingredients. Our Sunday roasts are also not to be missed!

Local real ales are always on tap along with crisp lagers, craft beers and local ciders. We have a wonderful wine list and our popular new “Gin List” heads up our selection of premium spirits. We also offer a great range of soft drinks, coffee, tea and cake!

Dogs are allowed in the pub garden and the bar area and must be kept on leads. Two dogs maximum per bedroom. Cost per dog is £10/night.

A dog treat box is provided in your room for all dog’s staying overnight.

“Yesterday, on Mothering Sunday we ate here twice. We ate breakfast on the way to having a day out. It was delicious. On our return,our whole family met there for an evening meal. There were 11 of us. We had booked the last slot of the day. Despite the fact that it had been a very long day and been very busy our meals were superb. Nothing was too much bother for the staff who were serving us. They were friendly, polite and efficient. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable experience and delicious food."

Perfect local Pub & Restaurant - even for Coeliac / Gluten Free

"The Woodborough has been our local since we moved to the area just over a year ago - and it's a fantastic pub, with a lovely restaurant area, top selection of drinks, and lively atmosphere in the bar and function areas. My partner has Coeliac disease and requires her food to be Gluten Free, and prepared separately from any Gluten-containing dishes. The staff and kitchen are fully equipped to deal with this, and handle her needs seamlessly - with delicious, safe dishes consistently produced. We go here regularly for lunch, drinks and dinner - both as a couple, and with friends/family - and haven't been disappointed yet."

Good accommodation and food

"Booked at last minute on route to Cornwall and was not disappointed . Travelled with a dog and made to feel so welcome from the start room was large and clean and very comfortable . Dog treats and bowls in room. Restaurant dog friendly and the food was excellent. Had evening meal and breakfast. Quality of food was exceptional. The dog was even offered a sausage a breakfast ! Would definitely return and have booked for next year already. Good location - close to Cheddar, Wells and Weston super mare. Great little village and a nice walk on the old train lines."
